RARELY SEEN 60"X 24"
" A HARD DAY'S NIGHT "
LOBBY BANNER POSTER
"UN-CIRCULATED"
ITEM # POS186
CONDITION : FACTORY STOCK - UNUSED
Movie posters of the 1960's that
were sent to theater owners were expected to be
returned to the National Screen Service (the manufacturers of the posters) or
destroyed
after being used to promote the movie. Many times the items gathered dust in
theater
basements or were taken home by patrons or employees.
This particular example of the
rarely seen
original 1964
"A Hard Day's Night" LOBBY BANNER movie poster
never saw the light of day of distribution,
and this example is in "Un-Circulated", Mint condition !!

Constructed of a thick
canvas-like material, and measuring a
whopping 60" X
24", LOBBY BANNER movie posters were sent to
theaters rolled (not folded as one-sheet posters were )
and this LIKE NEW example has remained rolled since it's manufacturing.
Notice the beauty of its clarity, bold colors, and cleanliness of this Banner in
the
following close-up images. Also take note of the two-part number printed across
the left edge issued by the National Screen Service. The number for
A Hard Day's Night
is 64/261.
The first number (64) is the year of release - 1964.
The second number (261) is
the unique number issued to a movie that year :

For the ultimate in preservation
purposes for this
unique
and pristine example, we have had the Banner professionally applied
to an acid-free woven linen backing. This prevents
the
poster from obtaining wrinkles, and is the best procedure for having
the poster framed, if
one wishes.

You will not find another RARE original 1964 "A Hard Day's NIght" LOBBY BANNER
in this LIKE NEW UN-CIRCULATED condition !!! A true gem indeed for
The Beatles most hailed and loved film !!

ORIGINAL CHRISTMAS 1965 "RUBBER SOUL"
IN STORE PROMOTIONAL POSTER
ITEM # POS156
CONDITION : FACTORY STOCK - UNUSED
The 1965 Christmas season was a very special
time for Beatles fans.
While previous albums had been collections of great
performances,
Rubber Soul is best appreciated when
considered as an entire record -
one that set a new standard for the
Beatles and rock albums.
George Martin's reflections indicate that this
record's cohesive and
innovative nature was intentional.
"It was the first album to present a new,
growing Beatles to the world. For the first time we began to
think of albums as art on their own, as
complete entities."
Capitol had complete confidence that
Rubber Soul would be a
tremendous seller and had prepared a
promotional poster,
featuring a brown and white enlargement of the front
album cover.
The words "THE BEATLES" is in red, while the tease "12 BRAND NEW SONGS"
is in brown print.
In red print once again is "Never Before Available in the U.S.A".
The Capitol Logo is in brown print.

To "Capitolize" on the Christmas holiday spirit,
Capitol's in-store poster told consumers
that the album was
"GREAT FOR GIVING! OR JUST GROOVY LISTENING!"

This magnificent, very RARE poster, measures 22" X
34¼",
and this example is in stupendous LIKE NEW, Unused Factory Condition !
NO rips, No tears, No tape, No tack holes.
The graphics, clarity, and depth of this
1965 piece is just stunning !
The edges are straight, and the white areas remain bright and crisp.
Because these posters were shipped folded to
record stores as opposed
to rolled in tubes,
they exhibited crease marks (like one-sheet movie posters).
Yet, this particular poster was cared for and has been stored "rolled"
all these
many years.
The natural crease marks are very minimal and extremely faint -
as exhibited in our photos above. The folds are extremely clean.
There are no white lines or crease "holes" anywhere,
due to the proper "rolled" storage of this example.
Furthermore, to preserve this
unique and gorgeous example,
we have had the
poster professionally preserved -
adhered to an acid-free woven linen backing.
This prevents
the poster from obtaining wrinkles, tears and truly relieved the faint
fold
marks more so.
Also, this linen backing is the best procedure for
having the poster framed, if
one wishes.
FROM THE BEATLES' GOLDEN AGE OF THE SIXTIES,
THIS TREMENDOUS IN STORE POSTER
WOULD BE AN IMPORTANT ADDITION TO A BEATLES COLLECTION !
IT WOULD LOOK MAJESTIC MATTED & FRAMED !

ULTRA-RARE ORIGINAL 1966
YESTERDAY AND TODAY "BUTCHER COVER"
IN STORE PROMOTIONAL POSTER
ITEM # POS157
CONDITION : FACTORY STOCK - UNUSED
As we all know, the original cover to
Yesterday And Today
caused quite a stir when it made its limited
appearance
in June, 1966. It marked the first time that the Beatles
judgment
was severely and universally criticized. The controversial cover
depicted the Beatles in white butcher smocks surrounded by
slabs of meat
and decapitated baby dolls. the facial expressions
of the group fall
somewhere between smirks and smiles.
Capitol proceeded with
the pressing, packaging and shipping
of 750,000 copies of the albums to
its distributors.
Advance copies were sent to the media. The response was
immediate
and uniformly negative - and forced Capitol Records president
Alan Livingston to pull the plug on the Butcher.
A massive recall plan was quickly formulated and Capitol sales reps
were
sent telegrams directing them to ship all copies of the
album back to the
factories immediately. The "Trunk Cover"
was to be the replacement image
for the LP - and the
rest is history in the Collector's world. Hence the
First, Second, and Third State Butcher Covers were born.
Yet, what is more fascinating, Capitol
prepared in-store promotional posters
for the release of the album - and was the only promotional item
ever
produced to promote this classic album . . . . . .
WHICH ALSO HAD TO BE
RECALLED !!!
This stupendous example offered here
came
directly from
a noted former Capitol Records employee.
It is in stellar FACTORY STOCK, UNUSED, NEAR MINT Condition.
NO pin holes, NO tape stains, NO folds or creases -
and is presented as it was was issued to record distributors - STILL
ROLLED.
Absolutely 100% Original and Authentic, it
measures 18" X 22", and as with all
Original Butcher Promotional Posters, it features the darker red (blood
red)
"INCREDIBLE" print at the top of the poster.
WE HAVE
SCANNED A SECTION OF THE POSTER TO DISPLAY THE ASTOUNDING
RICH TEXTURES OF THE COLOR IMAGE. THE DEPTH OF CLARITY IS OVERWHELMING !
THIS IS ONE
OF THE ALL-TIME BEST LOOKING
BEATLES PROMOTIONAL IN-STORE POSTERS IN EXISTENCE :
The poster will be shipped rolled to retain it's well-preserved ORIGINAL condition.
Accompanied with
Letters of Authenticity
from
noted Beatles' expert & author

SUPER-RARE ORIGINAL 1966 "REVOLVER"
IN STORE PROMOTIONAL POSTER
ITEM # POS158
CONDITION : FACTORY STOCK - UNUSED
While the release of
Revolver coincided with the Beatles summer tour
of the United States, no songs from the album were performed, but the
album, of course, immediately went to # 1 despite the controversy
surrounding John Lennon's much publicized and
misconstrued comments on Christianity.
Although listeners are
drawn into Revolver by its unique sound images,
one should not ignore the brilliance of its songs. The Beatles were not
engaging
in studio wizardry to cover weaknesses; they were looking for new sounds
to
enhance their songs.
Capitol's version of
Revolver is nearly identical to the British album,
and was released on August 8, 1966. The only difference is that the
Capitol
LP has eleven songs rather than fourteen. The missing songs are the three
that Capitol had released previously on its Yesterday And Today
album.
Capitol prepared a stunning 25" X 32"
in-store poster to promote Revolver,
and we are proud to offer this sensational example here !

The poster features an illustration of the
album cover against a black
backround.
The Klaus Voormann cover design is further accentuated with
the word "BANG!" which appears in large yellow letters above the cover.

The album number and Capitol logo are in
white below the cover.
The lower white border of the poster has the word "including"
followed by
a drawing
of a yellow submarine
and the phrase "and Eleanor Rigby" :

Since the Revolver posters were
shipped rolled in tubes to
record stores,
there are no factory folds to them.
Furthermore, to
preserve this unique and stellar example,
we have had the
poster professionally preserved -
adhered to an acid-free woven linen backing.
This prevents
the poster from obtaining wrinkles, tears and truly brings out the
beauty of its original rolled state,
Also, this linen backing is the best
procedure for having the poster framed, if
one wishes.
The paper material utilized on the
REVOLVER posters was different than
the
regular flat paper stock on the RUBBER SOUL promo posters.
The REVOLVER posters were produced on a
"glossy" stock and radiates a beautiful sheen !
Considered to be one of the rarest
of all in-store promotional Beatles items, this one is in gorgeous
LIKE NEW, factory stock, unused condition. The whites are clean and
crisp,
and all edges of the poster are sharp without bends or tears.
The graphics are astounding, to say the least !
This Revolver Promotional Poster is the finest example known
to exist.

RARER
THREE-SHEET SIZE
MOVIE POSTER
"UN-CIRCULATED"
ITEM # POS187
CONDITION : FACTORY STOCK - UNUSED
Movie posters of the 1960's and
1970's that were sent to theater
owners were expected to be
returned to the National Screen Service
(the manufacturers of the posters) or
destroyed
after being used to promote the movie. Many times the items
gathered dust in
theater
basements or were taken
home by patrons or employees.
Very much RARER than the standard
One-Sheet size,
this particular example of the
original 1970
"Let It Be" THREE-SHEET movie poster
never saw the light of day of distribution,
and this example is in "Un-Circulated", Mint condition !!
Measuring a tremendous 81" X 41", standard
three-sheet
movie posters
were sent to
theatres pre-folded in two sections,
and it is obvious
that this Poster has remained
folded since it's manufacturing :

For the ultimate in preservation purposes for
this gorgeous
and pristine example, we have had the poster
professionally assembled and then applied
to an acid-free woven linen backing. This prevents
the
poster from obtaining wrinkles, and is the best procedure
for having the poster framed, if
one wishes.
Following the professional assembly and preservation
procedure,
the permanent folds in this example are so very faint
and hardly noticeable,
for it never had that wear over age to
have been opened and closed numerous
times.
Take notice of the deep, bold details from these close-up images :

Prior to having the movie poster
mounted onto the linen backing,
we photographed the area of the blank side of
the poster,
displaying the official stamp, dictating the authenticity
of this three-sheet "3
- SH." :

SAN FRANCISCO, WHICH WAS THE FIRST OF 25 DATES THAT WENT THROUGH
SEPTEMBER 20, ENDING AT THE PARAMOUNT THEATRE IN NEW YORK CITY.
THE TITLE OF THIS TOUR WAS SOMETHING OF A MISNOMER SINCE,
ALTHOUGH IT WAS CERTAINLY THE GROUP'S FIRST JAUNT AROUND THE U.S. ,
IT WAS ACTUALLY THEIR SECOND CONCERT-PLAYING VISIT, AND THE TOUR
ALSO VENTURED INTO CANADA FOR THREE CONCERTS.
ON SUNDAY,
AUGUST 30TH, THE BEATLES PERFORMED ONE SHOW AT 8:30 PM
AT THE CONVENTION HALL, MISSISSIPPI AVENUE AND THE BOARDWALK IN
ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY - WHERE 18,000 TEENAGERS PACKED THE HALL.
THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY NATIONAL CONVENTION HAD TAKEN PLACE HERE
A WEEK EARLIER AND NEWSPAPERS HAPPILY REPORTED THAT THE BEATLES
RECEIVED A MORE BOISTEROUS RECEPTION THAN THE KEYNOTE
SPEECH BY PRESIDENT LYNDON B. JOHNSON !!

SHEA STADIUM, QUEENS, NEW YORK, USA
5 Original FULL Unused TICKETS
with CONSECUTIVE SEAT NUMBERS
ITEM # CA055
CONDITION : NEAR MINT
Due to the hype created
by John Lennon's remarks that
were taken out of context about The Beatles
being more popular than Jesus, this concert failed to sell out,
with 11,000 of
the 55,600 seats remaining empty.
This only partly explained the lack of excitement in the
stadium compared to the
heady atmosphere
of the record-breaking 1965 show. Still, the concert
grossed $292,000 - of which
the Beatles
received 65%, $189,000 - greater than their 1965 take.
Finding separate tickets
for the 1966 concert is not
as difficult as the infamous 1965 show,
but one never sees 5 unused, full tickets
together - in consecutive seating !!
The five
FULL UNUSED tickets are the
Lime Green “Upper Reserved" $5.00 Seats,
Section 7, Row V, Seats 13 thru 17.
All are in pristine and sharp Near Mint condition.
